Amino appoints Kevin Lingley to new chief technologist role

Amino Communications, the leading IPTV/OTT solutions provider, has appointed Kevin Lingley to the new role of Chief Technologist.

With a background spanning technology innovation and broadcast entertainment, Kevin has spent the last two years as head of OTT strategy at Amino where he has played a major role in shaping the company's Amino Freedom OTT platform and product range and developing the company's close working relationship with Intel.

Kevin began his career with Cambridge-based computing innovators Acorn before moving to NTL where he managed their interactive games channel. He then spent time working in the US developing mobile applications and later joined Sony to work on their GoInteractTV platform. For several years he worked on developing interactive TV channels and as head of technology at independent television production company Fluorescent Media helped drive the success of its Phoenix technology platform which was used across a number of well-known TV shows.

He will join the company's executive team and report to Amino Chief Executive Officer Andrew Burke, who commented: "This role will be critical in helping us shape, develop and articulate our future technology vision. Kevin brings in-depth technical knowledge, extensive experience from the broadcast entertainment industry and a real passion for driving innovation and we look forward to him making a major contribution to Amino."
