Cologne, Germany, May 30 – Amino: Amino, the IP/Cloud video software and device specialist, and Stream Group will showcase at ANGA 2017 a new fully integrated “off the shelf” cloud-based solution, offering operators a cost effective and rapid route to TV service deployment.
Comprising Stream Group’s interactive TV platform and Amino’s Series 6 range of hybrid STB devices, the solution delivers live TV, catch-up and VOD services, alongside traditional DVB linear broadcast channels and a range of premium OTT and HbbTV applications.
Stream Group will demonstrate the solution at the M7 Group booth, N10 in Hall 8, at ANGA in Cologne this week.
This combined solution will provide operators with a feature-rich and future-proofed video delivery platform with significantly reduced time-to-market and low start-up costs. Both companies have collaborated in developing a roadmap that ensures they can provide the latest features and applications in rapid timeframes.
Amino CEO Donald McGarva said: “Operators are always looking for ways to quickly and cost effectively introduce new offerings. Working with Stream Group, and their platform, we share the same vision of continually adding tangible value, improving the user experience and minimising churn, while keeping deployment and operational costs to a minimum.”
Stream Group CEO Pieter Heyn added: “The number of vendors in the TV device market has continued to increase dramatically over the last 5 years. Unfortunately, with so much choice has come a noticeable decline in quality of products. Amino has been providing leading edge and reliable STB products for many years and has a clearly defined roadmap that fits perfectly with our portfolio. For our customers, this represents a chance to leap to the next generation of video.”
