Amino launches new H150 IPTV device for hospitality and digital signage market at CABSAT 2015

(CABSAT 2015, Dubai, 9 March 2015) Amino, leader in IPTV, is to launch a new high-powered IPTV device for the hospitality and digital signage market at CABSAT 2015 in Dubai this week.

Called the H150, the new device combines the quality and reliability customers have come to expect from Amino with a host of new and innovative features - including new YouTube TV capability and the Amino TV apps store featuring 350 "made for TV" entertainment, news and sport apps.

The H150 is a real powerhouse with a dual core Broadcom SoC - delivering more than 2000 DMIPS -and up to 1GB of memory to deliver a graphically rich user experience with faster transitions and improved 2D and 3D graphic effects.

Delivering full HD quality video with support for 1080i60 decode for full screen playback and picture-in-picture (PiP), the H150 can also handle content from multiple sources whether managed IP, in-resort content or from the open Internet.

New Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability is also available for the first time in an Amino hospitality device, allowing customers to install the H150 where a mains power supply is unavailable. Key hospitality features also include CEC control and an RS-232 serial interface. The rugged mountable case is fully VESA compliant - and compatible with a wide range of hospitality and digital signage TV screens.

Amino CEO Donald McGarva said: "This new device underlines our commitment to innovation in the important hospitality and digital signage markets. As in the wider pay-TV industry, the demand for more performance, more content and a richer user experience is growing rapidly in both these sectors. The H150 is designed to meet these key trends but also offer future proof capabilities around multiscreen OTT deployments."

The H150 will be showcased at CABSAT alongside the full range of Amino's award-winning portfolio including the Live Advanced Media Platform and recently launched A150 mainstream IPTV device. Visitors to the Amino booth - #412 in hall 4 - can see the enhanced range running a number of partner demonstrations.
The device is fully aligned with Amino's extensive ecosystem partners and the latest digital rights management developments and conditional access compliance. Samples are now available with volume availability in June this year.
