Amino Showcases Advanced High Definition IPTV Portfolio at TelcoTV 2008

Cambridge, UK - October 31st, 2008: Amino Communications, the world-leading IPTV platform supplier, will visit Telco TV for the first time since its acquisition of digital proposition management provider, AssetHouse.

Amino will demonstrate its cutting-edge High Definition (HD) H.264 IPTV Set-Top Boxes (STBs), including the AmiNET530 Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and the AmiNET130.

The Plug-In DVR will also be presented. Designed with the concept of simplified installation and maintenance by allowing easy upgrade and flexibility, Plug In DVR will be demonstrated on the AmiNET130M, the industry's smallest, 100% digital HD H.264 IPTV STB, measuring just 4.48 inches wide x 1.37 inches high.

Andrew Burke, Amino's CEO, will attend Telco TV for the first time since his recent appointment and will be on hand to discuss Amino's HD and digital content management offerings.

"The acquisition of AssetHouse has been key for us to move forward in becoming an IPTV solutions provider and not just a STB manufacturer" said Burke. "As the industry moves towards true interactivity and true personalization, we need to ensure that IPTV and pay television services make consumers 'want it, like it, keep it and ultimately pay for it."

Commenting on the concept of HYBRID3, Burke added 'Telcos today need to think more than just IPTV and DVB. DLNA and Over The Top (OTT) need to be considered when integrating new services. In the true nature of convergence, integration and delivery needs to be seamless and simple'.

"TelcoTV is the perfect venue for us to demonstrate Amino's innovative and award-winning solutions designed to offer service providers flexible and high-quality HD solutions for their customers," said Rick Sailor, VP Sales Americas of Amino. "We're excited to share our service providers' success stories of IPTV deployments from around the world with the telecom industry's leading professionals, and demonstrate first-hand how Amino's technology can enhance telcos' business models by allowing them to generate greater revenue through additional capabilities and services."
