Amino selected by ADC for first IPTV service in Thailand

Amino partners with Siemens in Thailand

Cambridge, UK, and Singapore, 19 June 2006: Amino, leading IPTV set-top box supplier, today confirms that it was selected by Siemens for the first IPTV deployment in Thailand. The deployment for ADC (Advanced Datanetwork Communication Co. Ltd) has been rolled out to a substantial number of homes in Thailand for several months adding on-demand and broadcast television channels to the company's existing broadband service offering. Over the last months, ADC has witnessed the proven reliability and high quality of the AmiNET set-top boxes.

With this IPTV roll-out, ADC is poised to take a leading position within the burgeoning Thai broadband market which has received strong infrastructure investment and support from the Thai government.

Ryan Petty, Vice President of Product Management for Siemens Home Entertainment: "Our partnership with Amino has allowed us to provide enhanced revenue generation opportunities for ADC, allowing them to take full advantage of this national technology revolution."

The AmiNET range of set-top boxes has been developed and extensively tested with the principal elements of the IPTV delivery chain, including middleware, content security and browser technologies. This established interoperability ensures the smooth integration of Amino technology into any IPTV deployment using any number of combinations of 3rd party software and hardware suppliers.

"Thailand is an extremely exciting market in terms of potential growth of IPTV" noted Roy Kirsopp, VP & General Manager for Amino. "Amino leads the field for set-top box technology and by partnering with Siemens we aim to bring the most advanced IPTV technology to Thailand while easing the integration process and cutting the time to market and deployment costs of adding value through triple-play services."
